Available with either a 4, 7 or 9 inch display and wired PROFINET connection, SIMATIC HMI Mobile Panels 2nd generation transfer the functionality and performance of SIMATIC HMI Comfort Panels to mobile control units. Users benefit from more flexibility and convenience. Featuring16:9 aspect ratios and 16 million colors, the brilliant widescreen display provides clear, detail-rich visualizations, even of complex process and plant images.
Also, the unique illuminated emergency STOP button, three-step enabling switch and flexible analysis options of the safety elements enable individual control unit integration within the safety architecture.
Variants with handwheel or handwheel and override expand application area as well as a device for the low-temperature environment.
Scalable Software for easy configuration
The Mobile Panels of the 2nd generation have the same aspect ratio and resolution as the Comfort Panels. With the WinCC engineering software of the TIA Portal, operating screens are easily configured both for stationary as well as mobile applications – or adopted with the push of a button.
For TIA Portal configuration, users simply need to select the new Mobile Panel. The configuration can then be expanded with specific functions for mobile utilization. The new style editor offers an additional advantage, allowing you to simply integrate your corporate design with the control unit for central management

With a 16:9 aspect ratio, the display offers a bright, crisp, detail-rich view. 16 million colors and approximately 40% more display area allow for clear visualization of even complex operating screens and graphs. Dimmable up to 100%, the display’s brightness can be adjusted for all types of environments
The Mobile Panels 2nd generation can be used in marine and shipbuilding applications due to the type approval of ABS, BV, CC S, DNV, GL, LRS and Class NK
Unique safety solution
The device variants with the emergency STOP button at the top and enabling switch in the rear provide flexible safety solution configuration.
Only when the emergency STOP button is integrated with the safety circuit via the connection box it is activated and lights up red.
The devices support the analysis of safety elements using permanently wired safety relays (e.g. SIRIUS), fail-safe I/Os (e.g. SIMATIC ET 200) as well as PROFIsafe with fail-safe controllers of the SIMATIC S7 family (e.g. SIMATIC S7-1500F).

The device versions with an emergency stop/stop pushbutton on the top and an acknowledgment button on the back of the device permit a flexible configuration of the safety solution.
The emergency stop button is only active and illuminated in red when the device is connected to a safety circuit via the connection box.

With a dimension of 248 x 172 mm the 7 inch Standard Mobile Panel offers a resolution of 800 x 480 px, sufficient for most of the visualization tasks on site.

The failsafe KTP700F Mobile is also available in two variants with additional handwheel operation, either with a handwheeel only or with a handwheel and an override.
The handwheel can be turned without a stop and does not have a zero position. To facilitate operation, the handwheel has a small recess.
The override rotary switch has 19 positions. The zero and maximum positions are at the bottom.
Both devices have the housing dimensions of a 9 inch Mobile Panel.

SIMATIC HMI KTP700F Mobile Arctic – Mobile Panel for low temperature area
The failsafe HMI device with glass touch screen is designed for use in weather-protected areas with low ambient temperatures, e.g. in cold stores.
In contrast to the standard device the HMI device is distinguished by the following features:
- Extended operating temperature range “Arctic” -28° – +45° C
- Housing dimensions of a 9 inch Mobile Panel
- A touch pen, which is placed centrally under the display, is integrated in the front, making it easier to operate the panel at low ambient temperatures

Connection box standard
The connection box standard is designed for installation in a control cabinet or for wall mounting. The internal 3-port switch offers the option of integrating the connection box into a linear network. The evaluation of the safety operating elements can be performed not only via the PROFIsafe software protocol in connection with an F-PLC, but also via hard-wiring. In the case of hard-wiring, the use of safety inputs (e.g. SIMATIC ET 200SP) or safety relays (SIRIUS 3SK3) is necessary. When the Mobile Panel is withdrawn, the emergency stop circuit is open.
Connection box advanced
The connection box advanced has the same enclosure. The function is based on the standard version with several extensions: When the Mobile Panel is withdrawn, the emergency stop circuit is open. This enables the machine to carry on working when the device is not connected. The internal switch supports MRP and IRT.
Connection box compact
The connection box compact is intended for control cabinet installation. All connectors and contacts for the wiring are arranged on the rear so that all the wiring takes place in the cabinet.
