SIMOTICS S-1FK2 servomotors - the dynamic and compact solution

Teamed up in a drive system with a SINAMICS S210 servo converter, SIMOTICS S‑1FK2 servomotors provide short control and positioning times, fast and precise control response to disturbances and stable closed-control with a high dynamic performance.

Depending on the specific application, two servomotor versions are available:

• SIMOTICS S-1FK2 High Dynamic: Highest dynamic response through a low inertia for highly dynamic applications with low moved masses.
• SIMOTICS S-1FK2 Compact: Precise, stable control with medium to high masses to be moved with medium moment of inertia.

SIMOTICS S-1FT2 servomotors - the optimizable motor solution

SIMOTICS S-1FT2 servomotors offer a wide range of different options for the SINAMICS S210 servo system. For example encoders with a high resolution of up to 26 bits improve the system accuracy. A higher degree of protection up to IP67 as well as various motor coatings facilitate the use in harsh environments. In addition, new machine options are available, such as higher rated speeds.

SIMOTICS S-1FS2 servomotors in a stainless steel enclosure - the solution for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries

SIMOTICS S-1FS2 servomotors complement the motor portfolio for the SINAMICS S210 servo drive system for special applications in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, and plants and systems where standard SIMOTICS S-1FK2 and S-1FT2 servomotors are not sufficient. This stainless steel motor series for operation under strict hygienic conditions is available in three sizes in the power range 0.45 to 2 kW with torques from 3.1 Nm to 14 Nm.

• High IP66 / IP67 degree of protection for the complete motor, IP69k (30 bar) motor housing
• Suitable for cleaning in place processes (CIP) using commercially available cleaning agents

SIMOTICS S-1FK2 planetary servo gearmotors - the pre-assembled geared motor solution

SIMOTICS S-1FK2 servo planetary gearmotors enable the highest cycle rates with a lightweight and low-inertia gearbox design, or inertia adjustment for precise movement of heavy loads.
These geared motor drives can be perfectly adapted to the application as there are a wide range of gearbox ratios and gearbox sizes. Based on the digital twin of the geared motors provided in the TIA Selection Tool, thermal dimensioning is just as simple as for a servomotor.

Eco gearbox versions:

• SIMOTICS S-1FK2 with NRB gearbox
  The NRB is the lightest gearbox with the highest power density. As a result of its low-friction bearing design, it has a low intrinsic temperature rise and is suitable for high speeds.
• SIMOTICS S-1FK2 with NRK gearbox
  As a result of their large output bearings, NRK gearboxes are suitable for higher radial and axial forces. Thanks to their low inner friction, these gearboxes are also suitable for higher speeds.
• SIMOTICS S-1FK2 with NLC gearbox
  As a result of their pretensioned tapered rolling bearings, the NRC gearbox has a high degree of stiffness, and is the perfect choice for high radial and axial load levels. These gearboxes are protected against dust and water thanks to their IP65 sealing system.

The coupling adaptor SIMOGEAR KS-Adapter - the flexible connection between gearbox and servomotors

In addition to SIMOTICS S-1FK2 servomotors with planetary gearboxes, the coupling adapter SIMOGEAR KS-Adapter provides an additional flexible solution to connect various SIMOGEAR gearbox units with SIMOTICS servomotors of the SINAMICS S210 servo drive system.

• The Siemens SIMOGEAR gearbox portfolio can be simply connected using the KS Adapter. There are four different gearbox types available. Helical, parallel shaft, bevel and helical worm gearboxes.

Power Modules PM250

The ideal Power Module for requirements with regenerative feedback. This means that any braking energy is directly fed back into the supply system (four-quadrant applications – a braking chopper is not required).

The PM250 Power Module is available for the following voltage and power ranges:

Power Modules PM240-2 Push Through

PM240-2 Power Modules have a braking chopper (four quadrant applications) and they dissipate the majority of the heat loss outside the control cabinet. The PM240-2 Push Through Power Modules are available in the six frame sizes FSA-FSF.

The PM240-2 Push Through Power Module is available for the following voltage and power ranges:

• 200 V … 240 V 3 AC, 0.75 kW, 2.2 kW, 4 kW, 18.5 kW, 30 kW, 55 kW

Power Modules PM240-2

The ideal Power Module for standard applications in mechanical engineering. PM240-2 Power Modules have a braking chopper (four-quadrant applications) and are suitable for a large number of applications in general mechanical engineering.

The PM240-2 Power Module is available for the following voltage and power ranges:

Control Units

The motor is controlled according to various control methods by the Control Unit. In addition to control functions, the Control Unit can also perform other tasks which can be adapted to the relevant application by parameterization. Several Control Units are available for the SINAMICS G120 with different features.

CU230P-2 series Control Unit - the specialist for pumps, fans and compressors

The specific Control Unit (CU230P-2) is especially suitable for drives with integrated technology functions for pump, fan and compressor applications. The I/O interface, the fieldbus interfaces, and the additional software functions support these applications in an optimum way.

CU250S-2 series Control Unit - for high-performance applications in general mechanical engineering

The specific Control Unit (CU250S-2) is especially suitable for drives with high speed and torque accuracy requirements. The I/O interface, the fieldbus interfaces, and the additional software functions support these applications in an optimum way.

CU240E-2 series Control Unit - for standard applications in general mechanical engineering

The standard Control Unit (CU240E-2) with expanded I/O quantity structure is ideal for encoderless applications with safety requirements.

CUA20 Control Unit Adapter Kit – a simple and alternative way of installing the devices in cabinets

To enable a spatial and thermal separation of the Power Module and Control Unit in control cabinet installations, the SINAMICS Control Unit Adapter Kit CUA20 is available. The Adapter Kit CUA20 is compatible with all Control Units (CU230P-2, CU250S-2, CU240E-2).

The flat IOP-2 Intelligent Operator Panel allows fast local setup, fault diagnostics, and intuitive operation of SINAMICS G frequency converter series and simplifies the adjustment of settings during operation. The intuitive central multifunctional sensor control panel supports users with selectable settings.

There are three methods of using the IOP-2: Directly plugging it into the control unit of the converter, mounting in the door for operation outside the control cabinet, and as an IOP handheld unit for wired operation in difficult-to-access locations.

The menu-based operation and 2-line display of the BOP-2 Basic Operator Panel facilitate local commissioning of the SINAMICS G120 converter series. Simultaneous display of the parameter and parameter value, as well as parameter filtering, means that commissioning of a drive can be performed easily and, in most cases, without a printed parameter list.

The BOP-2 is available as an additional option for the SINAMICS G120C converter series.
